Route planning based on SAP SD

Usually, major retail companies deliver to their end customers from a central warehouse. ‘Invisible’ to the customer, often a number of supply warehouses are involved in this process. An ERP system like SAP can map the intermediary transport – planning and coordination of deliveries, however, is less comfortable in the SAP standard.
This results in cumbersome paperwork for planning and combination of routes and a loss of transparency. In the worst case, the customer cannot be definitely notified about the goods arrival time. As part of a customer project, clavis now has developed a route planning system based on SAP SD. By means of a comfortable cockpit, delivery planning is supported efficiently.
